Playback mode is easily accessible through the play button in the middle of the dial, and many many editing functions are available, as well as slideshows, zoom, and more. Microphone mode is quite usefull, recording any audio you need at any time. Manual mode works quite well but I dont find myself using it much. But I doubt anyone would have a memory card (or rather enough memory cards) to fit a sizeable amount of movie when on high res. The quality, 30fps is so amazingly smooth you would think it was real life. Once you try out movie mode in high quality, you will want to throw out that old camcorder. There is supposed to be a way to make the camera take a picture when you clap or make a loud noise, but I have gotten variable results with that. Auto mode is great, and it is soooo simple to change flash modes, exposure options, macro on/off, and the countdown mode. you can piece these together simply once you get back to your computer and use panorama maker to create beautiful panoramas also, you can do vertical panoramas and 360 degree quick time virtual realities which make me happy. in scene mode, after you are done being astonished by the number of scenes, you will find the panorama mode and start jumping for joy. In the setup mode there are numerous choices to controll every little aspect on the camera, from time zone to shutter noise. ![]() You can do simple editing such as cropping, applying filters, and more right on the camera. The hardware is only half the camera, the software built into this camera is amazing. Secondly are the many features on this camera. All superfluous buttons are removed, but everything is accessible within the touch of a couple buttons. The layout is alltogether perfect, making it easy and quick to do anything. But it is pretty cheap for everything you get - in grey market it could cost less by Rs 3000/-įirst thing you see on this camera is the beautiful, sturdy metal case. I got a pretty good deal so dont expect that when you go out to buy it. I bought this camera in Chandni Chowk (Delhi), for a great deal at Rs 11,000 with included: camera (boxed with charger, USB cable, A/V cable, wrist strap, recharge batt, 16MB card, and the Nikon View CD-ROM), 256MB SD card (additional I got for Rs 1,800/-), case, recharable battery, and I think thats all. I would recommend this camera primarily for: Anyone Lighting Conditions: Use inside & outside, with or without a flash Photo Quality: Very Good - Pictures are consistently sharpīattery Life: Excellent - Superior battery life Portability: Excellent - Tiny, and always functional ![]() PhotoWarp can even automatically output an HTML file containing your movie or image.Ease of Use: Excellent - It is easy to use right out of the boxĭurability: Very Good - Well made and will last a long time ![]() From the Format dialog you can choose to output a flat, dewarped image or a QuickTime VR movie. A click of the DeWarp button automatically dewarps the image and creates your output file. The OS 9- and OS X-compatible program opens your image and provides a simple, circular cropping tool that allows you to select the area of your image where the mirror’s reflection is. Kaidan’s PhotoWarp software could not be easier to use. Exposure calculation is usually a concern when shooting a multishot panorama, but with these devices, you can trust your camera’s automatic metering instead, making shooting a breeze. You probably won’t need a tripod you can simply hold the camera straight above your head while you shoot. After manually focusing the camera to 7 inches, you use aperture priority or manual controls to select a small aperture. ![]() Shooting with the 360 One VR is very easy. However, it’s far less bulky than a tripod and professional-quality panoramic head. Kaidan includes what looks like a large, clear, plastic mayonnaise jar to protect the assembly during transport, and the whole thing adds a good deal of weight and bulk to your camera. The 360 One VR is not small - the metal mounting plate is roughly 5 inches in diameter, and the entire assembly extends about 8 inches from the camera’s lens. (Although the company doesn’t have other adapters planned, you can purchase step-up rings that should do the trick.) Unfortunately, as of press time, Kaidan provided an adapter only for mounting the unit on a Nikon Coolpix 990 or 995. From the mounting plate, a cylindrical array extends straight out from the camera’s lens and provides support for the odd-shaped mirror at the top of the unit. To use the 360 One VR, you must first attach a metal mounting plate to your camera’s lens thread.
